Hi there, we’re writing to let you know that we’ve updated Reddit’s Privacy Policy and User Agreement. We recommend reading them in full, but here’s a quick look at what’s changing:
- Privacy Policy updates:
- Users in the United States: We’ve added more details on how you can exercise your privacy rights under state laws.
- Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom: We’ve shared more information about the legal reasons and purposes for processing your data.
- Users in Brazil: We’ve updated our info on how we handle personal data under LGPD and clarified that Reddit Inc. is the data controller for you.
- For our UK community, we’ve updated the User Agreement to show that your service entity is now Reddit, Inc.
- General improvements: We’ve made small tweaks across both documents to make them clearer and easier to understand.
These changes take effect on July 1, 2026. By continuing to use Reddit after that date, you’re agreeing to the updated terms. If you have any questions, our Help Center is always here for you.
