Reddit’s support has failed, but they’re trying to disrupt my peace

A thorough review of Reddit has already been done. Since then, I haven’t used it and I don’t give it a second thought.

So, A lot goes through your mind when you receive a letter in your inbox titled “Updates to Reddit’s Privacy Policy and User Agreement” from this dictator.

• Privacy Policy updates:
  • Users in the United States: We’ve added more details on how you can exercise your privacy rights under state laws.
  • Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom: We’ve shared more information about the legal reasons and purposes for processing your data.
  • Users in Brazil: We’ve updated our info on how we handle personal data under LGPD and clarified that Reddit Inc. is the data controller for you.
• For our UK community, we’ve updated the User Agreement to show that your service entity is now Reddit, Inc.
• General improvements: We’ve made small tweaks across both documents to make them clearer and easier to understand.

These changes take effect on July 1, 2026. By continuing to use Reddit after that date, you’re agreeing to the updated terms. If you have any questions, our Help Center is always here for you.

Well, as is fitting for spammer, I’ve blocked him e-mail. Not out of anger, but out of gratitude.
